The light of the burning fire had been a guide and would be a boon to any uninitiated in tracking the woods. The thought had crossed his mind that even though there were no active signs of life, something could still be nearby. The scent he picked up while in town had not lingered far from his mind, and if something was out there, it could and would find them. Unfortunately, the fires were needed for the humans among their group, and it was only getting colder. Whatever came knocking on their doorstep, Ivor would find a way to handle it and keep everyone safe. As the foliage thinned out he spotted two figures at the edge of the treeline; companions whom he recognized. “Hello friends! Ivor is back!” The giant waved, hoping to gather their attention without startling them. Once in the clearing he approached the two them, “Miss Nesna, Mr. Guard, it is good to be seeing you.” Ivor’s smile was bright, but quickly faltered as he took on a more serious expression. “It may be dangerous out there my friends, best to stay closer to the fire and others.” He looked to the fire and spotted the small gathering that had collected there. “Come now,” Ivor looked at the two, his features softening, “Ivor shall explain what he has seen, and the others will be glad to know we are back making the safe sound.” He gestured to them to follow as he lumbered towards the campfire. Once close enough he greeted the gathered group, “Hello everybody, Ivor is back from the lovely stroll through the woods.” He nodded towards Orion and gave a warm smile to Eris before casting a quick glance at the rest of the entourage. Good, most everybody was here and some stragglers were starting to approach the group upon his arrival.. As he got closer to the fire, his face shifted once again from cheery to serious, his hulking form casting a shadow as ominous as his visage. “There is no life in the town, nothing but bones and rusty armor, Ivor does not know how long it has been that way, but it has been a long time.” the giant blightborn furrowed his brow, “There was also a strange smell that is somehow familiar to me, Ivor cannot quite be placing it on tip of tongue. All Ivor knows is that it smelt earthy, musky, and fresh in a way that feels strange in a place where death lives.” His eyes locked with Orion’s, “Ivor has bad feelings about that place, we must be careful…” [sub]Interacting with: Nesna [@enmuni], Zeph, Eris [@The Muse], Orion [@Qia][/sub]
