[/quote] Except unless you pick a chainlock, you're pretty restricted as to what you can do with your familiar. For example, your familiar cant attack. This gives some of that familiar abilities like possession,but the biggest perk is that it grows with you. Your familiar will always be the same weak raven or imp. This scales up with levels, much like the Drakewarden's Drake, or Battle Smith's Steel Defender.
