Elves and dwarves are... well, they're anathema to each other. Elves live in the forest, in harmony with everything that grows, frequently moving through the treetops above the ground or even living there in treehouses carved into the wood. Dwarves are the opposite, existing in the deep dark, far away from the greenery and sunlight of a forest environment. Dwarves and elves don't understand each other very well but they've never clashed or fought wars. The elves have no desire to go underground and the dwarves find little appeal in the elven forests. How much can a shark hate an elephant?
