Also, keep in mind that most of the time the Gate will be useless anyway, since without a valid Point Of Origin it can't be dialled (See the points in [i]Within the Serpent's Grasp[/i] when SG-1 try to dial off of Apophis' ship and SG-2 try to dial on to it). So it's only a problem when the ship is in orbit somewhere, assuming someone knows the address and there's no gate on the planet with a working DHD.
