As I read it, Volt's referring to handling the bridge the way we handle other memories that didn't actually happen IC. E.g. The founding members joining up and making the team, or Tanya's possible relations with a krogan during a drunk incident. Basically, what's explained later goes. Gets warped into the hivemind of the Nova RP and becomes accepted canon.
