Most of the night was a battle. A battle to stay awake and not return to those dreams where the charred bodies of her young lay before her. Their souls couldn't be found they couldn't come back! The screams from them trying… Their twisted bodies from them trying… The demon tried so hard to help them. The sounds of whimpering and crying before a scream rang in those sensitive cat ears. This must be a horrible dream. They were not dead! That damnable demon had not killed them! Her fists pounded against the hardwood floor with hands that pulled at her. A voice begging her to stop and promising to kill him a thousand times over. With a jolt, a voice was still screaming followed with panting. Her eyes were wide and sweat covered her and the sheets she was tangled in. The room was blank but the soft coo turned her red ears down to the little bundles of blankets on her bed. With a sigh, she touched the empty blankets softly. “Mommy is sorry.” The kits within moved lightly but were fast asleep. Sighing, a kinetic barrier surrounded the blankets to keep them safe as she slowly eased herself from the bed. The floor was cool beneath her feet. Her steps light as she moved to the bathroom. It took the neko no time to shower and then slip into her lilac scrubs. For a moment, she idly wondered why she was even wearing scrubs. Where were her t-shirts and shorts? Sure, her tail fit though the pants of these scrubs comfortably but why? For a moment her mind tried to process the why but the images made her groan. Her internal struggle causing her gasp and hold her head. Leaning against the wall it took a moment for the room to stop spinning before she was able to move again. She came out of her room and headed down the hall to the stair way. Her nose following the scents that lingered in the air. The smell of food followed and mixed with the unknown scents. There was one she knew as she came upon the doors to the cafeteria, vampire. The other in the door, she was not sure but it did not matter. “Excuse me.” Was all she said as she moved around them without waiting for them to move. Softly swaying her tail, her ears turned to the various sounds around the room. She would merely glance around the room as she headed for the table with normal looking food. Taking a plate, she loaded it up with pancakes, eggs and sausage but the lovely scent of fish caught her attention. Never could she remember such a selection. She grabbed some eel and salmon then turned to look at the place. Where would she even sit? With the brooding looking male? Or the bird guy and lady? The patch woman still was by the door, she wondered what place she would pick. Although, Alice would rather not sit by any one, less to worry about so she choose to sit with the brooding male.
