The others seemed to be taking their sweet time. They took so much time, in fact, that Jason returned with that girl in his arms before everyone was outside. The only one who seemed to have any sense of urgency was that damned shadow girl. Dark Matter moved about in a circle impatiently as he waited. Soon, Sam and Elizabeth had exited their cells and moved into the main room. Dark gave Elizabeth his full attention as she marched up, battered and bruised, to stand next to him.”The plan? I’m going to break out anyone else held in here and then I’m making a break for the exit. Anyone who slows me down is on their own.” Dark Matter growled, his brow forming a glare. There was no time to think of anything complicated, though Dark doubted a complex plan would be anything more than a waste of time without any proper knowledge of their prison. Dark Matter continued to stand waiting for the stragglers, his arms crossed in front of his chest. He paid little mind to the conversation Jason was having with his sister. Dark glanced over at Adrian and nodded to the boy, gesturing for him to join them.”I’d wager someone is trying to get us out.” Dark offered a legitimate answer to the blind one’s question, ignoring Alix’s usual quips. He never understood her constant joking anyway. When Elizabeth began to bark back at Alix, Dark Matter groaned internally. When Elizabeth shoved Alix, Dark shook and head and strode towards the exit.”It’s like dealing with children...” He mumbled.”You can all kill each other, or you can follow me out. I don’t give a damn either way.” With that, Dark was off down the hallway. He ducked past debris and flames as he moved down the hall. He wasn’t sure on where he was going, but at least he was going somewhere.
