Skylark giggled and skipped over to Sleipnir and Father while Daddy, who didn't seem too engaged in their playing, knelt with a bemused smile not too far. The oasis was just what the young dragons needed to rest their weary minds. They wouldn't grow up like Path, who was spoiled rotten, or like Edge, whose only companions were the sky, the ocean and its waves, and the white rocks. Violet eyes smiled as the boy fingered curled grey locks tenderly, wanting to touch the rocks and play with Father and Sleipnir. He still couldn't believe Daddy had fabricated this entire little sanctuary out of debris and muck. Maybe, then, Daddy could mend the heart he had unknowingly broken- Father's. The thought brought a smile to the baby dragon's face as his tail slithered happily and his budding wings fluttered absently. He then sat down next to Sleipnir, admiring the 'castle'. It was a simple mound of pebbles and debris, and it didn't appear that they were sticky. Instead, the rocks were slippery and very, very, round. Skylark added a handful of pebbles onto the mountain with a slight chuckle. "I like this..." He murmured softly before burying both arms into the pit elbow-deep. With that, the young male began to burrow himself into the pit until he was down to the hips. He smiled blithely at Father and rested his head in the older dragon's lap as his feet rose from the pit, still partially covered by rocks and fully covered by his woolly socks. He felt so safe here, under the protection of his undeniably powerful parents. Edge noticed Skylark nod off to sleep and he moved to pet the child's hair affectionately before taking a handful of tiny rocks into his hands. "Hey, do you guys want to play a game before we go to sleep..?" He didn't wait for an answer. "I'll go first." He placed his closed fist over his heart and closed his eyes solemnly. Sleipnir didn't have any playmates other than himself, Skylark, and Path, so Edge needed to be the best friend his son could ever dream of. "I promise I'll protect all of you and love you all forever." With that, he kissed the back of his hand and dropped the rocks onto the mountain in a melodious noise. "Okay, now you two go." He said with an ecstatic grin.
