Anime was never implemented as commonly as it is now, instead the archetypal character in modern society was a He-Man-esque 1980s american cartoon characters. (Now I'm not saying that I dislike anime, but there's way too many anime characters.) Now, I wasn't IN the world where the society's most common character was He-Men, I was actually in the cartoon-verse. With all these ridiculously muscular men and women doing things that are deemed normal for people who have so much beef on their arms that they could start a burger joint. There was some sort of sub-plot where the Anime characters that did exist were evil, and they were trying to conquer the world. However, as most anime characters are 10-15 years old they were repeatedly getting their shit smacked around by characters like Lion-O and Conan.
