You do know that you will be using what armour and uniform the SGC gives you right?
This is an official operation, not a private military group, and there is a standard issue. That includes off-world clothes too, you'll get whatever camo suits the deployment at the time. You don't bring all that government owned equipment along with you because its not yours to bring.
