Well, Vera HAS been raised to destroy all magic... But after an incident with an Aether Wraith and some soul searching, much of that life is being questioned. It's also another reason I'd like it if Leora could tag along. Vera has been stewing in her own madness for a while now, and could use someone to discuss these things with. 

Vera herself can't decide if Magic is evil, or if simply Magic can be used for evil. You'd think that she'd go for the latter, but she has faced many of evil wizards, and all mages carries the chance to unleash hordes of Aether Wraiths that, even with the Azure Light, she can't kill all by herself. However, her own armor and weapon is magically enchanted and she uses them always, so sometimes she wonders if that makes HER evil. It's an issue that really shouldn't be that complicated, but only if you're willing to overlook some details, which Vera doesn't do well at. Always poking her nose around things.

The only thing she really holds consistent is that everyone is inherently evil, but can live to redeem themselves unless they fall back into evil. I know, it's a very flawed way to look at things (Vera ain't perfect), but all things considered it has prevented her form going on a killing spree in a quiet little village and only direct her blade against the likes of bandits and thieves. Petty thieves, but thieves nonetheless.
