Name: Caelan Gender: Male Appearance: Age: 17 Race: Human Skills: * Has several handy survival techniques. Knows many fauna in Hyrule, ones that are used for food and medicinal purposes as well as ones that should be avoided. He knows how to construct basic shelters out of different materials and is moderately efficient at hunting and using traps for said purpose. * From his father he has a natural gift for tinkering with objects. Unlike his father who invents random assortments of gizmos however Caelan fancies traps. As such he knows how to make and disarm basic ones, as well as recognize a few in various dungeons. * Good fisherman, as part of his time wandering. Magic Abilities: Use water magic exclusively, primarily in the form of ice. Is capable of healing magic as well though he is certainly still learning, as at the moment he can only mend cuts and bruises. Anything serious is beyond his skill. Caelan is also capable of using steam magic as well, and in a sense almost capable of mimicking air magic by creating gusts with it. This like his healing magic is far weaker than his ice and used sparingly, such as when sailing on a raft. Weapons: A small curved dagger. The blade itself is a deep steel colour, a gilded strip of metal running along the blunt edge of the blade that curls at the hilt on either side. The handle is made of bronze, wrapped in red strips of cloth. At the tip of the blade, roughly five centimeters in diameter and three from the actual tip is a hole punched through the blade. It's a clean cut, but there's no evident reason for why it is there. Inventory: One Blue Potion One Red Potion Bio: Caelan was born in raised in the safety of Clock Town to two loving parents. His father was an inventor of sorts and his mother an experienced herbalist there was no lack of prominence in his family. From an early age he expressed a love for exploration, often dawdling off as soon as he could walk to various places in the yard. By the age of five he was leaving the home and yard together, though only ever really making it a few houses away under the scrutiny of his parents. Even with their trying to quell his roaming tendencies he often slipped out regardless, never quite content with staying at home. To appease his parents he began an education as soon as he could, not doing anything outstanding but certainly well enough. Simply put Caelan was never interested in anything his parents pushed on him, including their own professions. Exploration of Clock Town resumed as always, and eventually he had wandered enough to know the entire city as he did the back of his hand. With his home fully explored he had nothing left to see, becoming rather restless yet again. The only thing he could do to sate his desires was to go beyond the town, something his parents abhorrently forbid. Like everything else before though this didn't stop him. At sixteen years of age Caelan decided he could no longer remain at home, being driven insane by the dull life he had. On a clear evening he took his life into his own hands, leaving a note for his parents and slipping out of Clock Town under the cover of darkness, nothing on him but a few rupees and the clothes on his back. Before him lay the expanse that was Hyrule, and for him so much untapped potential for exploration. A whole new world was opened up to him, and with renewed enthusiasm Caelan set forth onto his own adventure. It became apparent rather quickly though how poorly prepared he was for this endeavor. On the very first night out a storm raged across the countryside, soaking him to the bone as he sought shelter under a tree. Drenched and hungry, the following morning he tried to catch his first meal, chasing a rabbit and trying to catch it by hand, obviously failing miserably. Hungry and cold he trudged through the woods, finally coming across a dirt road that sliced through the center. It was here he encountered a group of men traveling by caravan, an assembly of curious characters armed to the teeth. Rather than seeing them as dangerous though Caelan looked to them for help, and by some miracle they agreed, under the stipulation he join them. As he would soon learn he had joined a roving band of treasure hunters, and with them he'd take on an entire new look to exploration. Traveling with the treasure hunters led to adventures that Caelan had only dreamed of before. From plundering ruins to delving into caves it looked as though his dreams of seeing the world's hidden gems were coming true. However, there was a darker and far less pleasant side to his group's activities. While he was perfectly content with just treasures the other men seemed to have no issue with taking from people as well, often by ways of violence. They would often steal from townsfolk and other travelers in between hunts, taking whatever they wanted, lives sometimes included. Caelan was against this behavior but could never muster the courage to speak against it, initially at first. When a family was nearly killed for their petty goods he finally reached his threshold, and in a fit of fury struck out against the men he was with. While they were skilled with weapons he had his water magic on his side, it was hardly a contest. Between the family and the men he decided they had to go, beating them a fair deal before they finally ran off. The family, grateful for what had been done wanted to offer thanks, though the only thing they had of any value was a dagger the husband had found, he'd hoped to pawn it off. Parting with the few rupees he had remaining Caelan bought it from them, setting off on his own travels by himself. He'd learned to survive through the many months and could now tackle the wilderness on his own. He was last seen heading into Gerudo Desert to look into rumors of a forsaken ruins by the name of Arbiter's Grounds.
Did a wee bit of tweaking with him, though hopefully for the better. ^^
