The Imp was blind and stumbling around in pain as it clutched its eyes. As such, even with Lucian charging the Imp in a blind sprint it had no idea that Lucian was even approaching, giving Lucian the element of surprise against the Imp without the Imp even having a chance to prepare for Lucian's charge, making it as though Lucian would have been right next to the Imp when he attacked.

The hit was a success, smashing the blind Imp with the staff and making it reel back in pain, it screeching as it had little to no idea where the attack came from. Unfortunately for the Imp it was strong enough to stay on its feet despite being blind and in alot of pain, meaning that it was still standing and Lucian wouldn't be able to get another attack in as it was flailing around a little widly, trying to figure out where the humans were, which it still had yet to figure out. Fortunately for Lucian though a window appeared in front of him, mentioning that his Staff Mastery Skill's level had increased by 1.
