Okay, so for those of you that have expressed interest here is the basic character submission that I will be using for this story. The first three areas are self explanatory but here are a few notes. Please include first and last names and any common nicknames (not required) and as far as age goes I am looking at any young super geniuses being no younger than 25 and this will not be the common case. Only your crazy Spencer Reed, Beautiful Mind types would be that young and still skilled enough to be selected, most character will be 28-30+ at the younger end of the line. Nationality and/or ethnicity is a bit different in this year 2400 world. I have already listed some of the new nations in the intro bullet points (Northern China Free State, the Mongolian Protectorate, and the Russo-Siberian Nation) and there are many new faces on the global stage. Besides those above established nations, The Confederated States of America (The U.S. East Coast from VA to FL and the "South" up to Texas), The Pan-Amerada Alliance (The North-East of the U.S. and Canada along with every State on a Great Lake), The Plains Nation (the U.S. Great Plains and north-central Canada), The new Japaneses Empire (the U.S. west coast... Japan is gone), The Republic of Texas (all of Texas, Oklahoma, Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras), and The Greater Alaskan Free Zone (Alaska, western Canada, the Bering straight, and Russia east of the Kolyma river) are all new nations I want in the story. I will give a brief outline of all of these listed nations tomorrow. As for the rest of the world, divide it up as you see fit if you want to play with the NWO concept of new nations and such. If you create a place though just be prepared to post a paragraph or so of why this place came into being, if you do that we can edit it into the story concept. For education and skills be specific and remember these people are the kind of people that make professors and other experts feel nervous. Your characters are the people on the cutting edge of their fields so be liberal with your qualifications but not super-human... just shy of that please. :rock Positive and negative qualities. Please find it in yourself to list at least two of each and make them playable qualities that will be present in a character's life. I find that laying these out on paper beforehand brings some interesting things into the story dynamic. As far as the Vignette/audition goes it is optional but encouraged. Write a quick couple of paragraphs to strut your characters stuff and get a feel for how you will write them and how everyone else will write theirs. It doesn't have to be anything epic just a quick blurb, put your character in a situation and show us how they deal with it. Like I said it is optional but I appreciate them and if (it doesn't look like it will) we get more than 10 offers for interest, these auditions will help when making my final cast choices. Lastly, concept pics are cool but not required.
