Shalan inhaled in slight surprise when the child dismissed her own dismissal. Though, why she had smiled when Shalan said she didn't have gold alarmed the elf more. Was this a rouse? Lure the trespasser with the child, then jump him or her? Her fiery eyes blinked, quickly trying to decide a way out of this. But it was too late. Already, the child-warrior was heading away, beckinging Shalan after her. It was either follow her, or be left behind, and seem rude. Quietly, Shalan wondered how long it would go unnoticed if she gathered her things and walked in the opposite direction. Deciding that she was too curious about this child and the man she called 'pappa', Shalan quickly threw her cloak on, covering her head, before gathering her packs and sword to follow after Kora. A pretty name. Nervous and tired, the elf followed Kora, glancing around nervously, her right hand gripping the hilt of her sword. "Wise words to remember, child." Shalan remarked to the girl. "Trust is a hard thing to come by in this world." Something that got remarkably more difficult to find the further you ventured.
