It was quite a lot to focus on, especially with the way that he had to keep half his attention on walking in heels. His feet with starting to feel a little bit sore but he did his best to keep it from his face. Thank the Gods! They finally stopped to chat, and Dylan used the balcony as an excuse to lean and take pressure off of his feet. Behind him he heard Mordie and Aria discussing the what it was like working at the Grande Diamond. He didn’t really have anything to add to the discussion, so he continued to watch the crowd below them. Wow, the clientele really was fancy. Why not do what she’s doing and go talk with them, if they bother you that much? “Well,” she said as she adjusted the feeds so that she could see both Mordie’s and Lady Vasco’s group on side-by-side screens, “that wouldn’t work too well since the groups are splitting up. Besides, it’s not like I could have gone earlier. Lady Vasco does not like being interrupted during meetings. You really should know that by now.”
She kept her eyes focused on the screen, mostly ignoring Mordie’s inept tour - the girl was rushing aimlessly through the Grande Diamond with no destination in mind - but instead focused on Lady Vasco. Especially when they stopped immediately outside the loading docks. She waited on baited breathe until Vasco emerged and took the two girls on. What had she been thinking? To take the strangers so close to the heart of their operations? Honestly, I’ve got the fort down. These machines ain’t no big complicated thing to keep track of. Look. Pictures, pictures and pictures of other people doing big rich things. Whatever. Go flash them some of that O’Rourke charm or something.” “No offense, Bart, but I really don’t trust you. I think I’m fine where I am.” Lady Vasco’s group was now in the elevator, perfectly safe, and so she turned her attention to Mordie’s group, who seemed to be aimlessly chatting.
