The songstress looked across the extravagant room to see this 'Lord Dumont', and froze at the sight of the man sitting next to two blonde men. "I think she does, actually." Neil smirked, swirling the wine around in his glass. He looked over the two women with great interest, but narrowed his gaze at Selan in particular. Selan stared back at Neil Hunter with a puzzled look, almost forgetting her mask of gratefulness and naivete. He looked older and colder than the picture of him she had in her cloudy memories, but there was no mistaking him. The horrible feeling of dread she had experienced ever since being briefed on the mission had just been validated, and there was now no doubt in her mind that there was something very wrong with this establishment. "Mr. Hunter, surely you've read the morning paper!" Dumont exclaimed jovially. "Black and white does not do you justice, Miss Leclair! And Marcy, was it? Yes, I can see the cleverness in your eyes. Beautiful, just beautiful. Come, sit!" He gestured to the nearby chairs. Selan looked back at Lady Vasco, who looked quite pleased with herself. With a forced smile, the songstress made her way over to a chair facing Lord Dumont, held her chin up, and crossed her legs. She tried not to look at Neil, praying to the gods that he did not and would not recognize her. "Lord Dumont," Selan focused all of her charm on the one man she had to impress. She remembered to speak with her accent despite now greatly regretting using it during her interview with Lady Vasco. "It's a pleasure and an honor to meet you in person. And I must say, The Grande Diamond is just as beautiful inside as it is outside."
