[/quote] Sue wanted to make small talk – the class was taking longer than she thought it would and though she felt an obligatory need to be compassionate and considerate and watch and support her classmates on TV, it was passing on really slowly for her time to come. Besides, the teacher was sort of feeding off of the students’ inadequacies and it was almost sadistic. Sue tried to come off the thought of it and engage in conversation with this Katherin girl. Sue got off of Jack’s desk, grabbed her pen and notebook, wrote something down on it, and went up to the two girls. She’d hoped not to interrupt, but she felt that she had not a lot of options available to her anyway.
