Steve coughed, holding his stomach, definitely not excepting the elbow. For a quick second he wondered why she didn't hear him. He practically shouted in her ear. But then again, that siren was pretty loud. Before he did anything else he punched in the emergency alarm shut-off code (luckily, THAT usually stayed the same) which also opened the door, before he turned to Heidi. "Don't worry *cough, cough* about. I might've done the same. But that's not important! How are... you?" Steve's grin faded fast at what he saw "My god! Are you alright, what the hell happened!?" He had just now taken his first good look at his friend... and she looked like hell. Her clothes were dirty and ripped, and she had dried blood trailing out her ears. That only meant one thing.
