Mathias nodded. "Yes, you too. Because you were their target. I don't know why Alexander wants you, Evon, but that's why you should be there too." Everyone came to Gerald's cabin within a minute, and all of the chairs were put around the fireplace, with Mathias seating himself on one end. You'd normally expect a meeting to be held at a table or in some office-looking room with him sitting at the head, but Mathias liked this atmosphere better. Besides, in meetings like this no one's opinion was more important, even if Mathias usually made the final decision. Once everyone was seated Mitchell shared the information he had been able to get out of the intruder. "As we all already knew, apart from possibly Evon, Alexander has been planning something for months now. What exactly, we still don't know. Though it has to do with some kind of research into vampire genetics. What we've been able to find out from the woman, is that Evon is Alexander's target. They were under strict orders to not hurt her, so at the very least they aren't after her life." Mathias then took over. "Now, it's good news that Alexander doesn't want Evon to be harmed, at least for now. But that still means she's in danger. And because of that, all of us are. The problem is that fighting back will most likely only create chaos among the vampires in the area, considering my position and how influential Alexander seems to have become. He now has a large following. At least 20 people follow him directly, and he has connections all over Great Britain. So the question now becomes...what do we do?" Spike was the next one to speak. "There only seem to be two options at this point. As we'll have to involve the hunters and see if they can handle it either way. So we can either stay here, or go out of the country for a while until things are resolved." "Like a vacation?" Mary chimed in, though she did sound a bit serious. Mathias nodded, turning to Evon. "Which is why you're here too Evon. As whatever we decide, it will affect your life as well."
