Heroes I think are intended for future developments. But (depending on your characters threshold) they would have a hero who specializes in dealing with your villain. For example Spider-ManVsGreen Goblin. Bat-ManVsJoker X-menVsThe Brotherhood. Captain Marvel vs Her character design. (coughs last ones my opinon but seriously Her character at least in the 80's-90's was GOD awful.)

Off topic note (Not that I want to bring this up) But our little Grimm character. Are we going to skillfully pretend his actions never occurred? (If So. Can I ask that one of you handed him the shards of Black?) If we are just going to say he opted to leave thats cool to. I just wanted to know how you all wanted to act about it.
