I too am curious as to why Keezheekoni and Kholodny Zima are unlikeable characters. In fact, TheBiddz and I designed them to be as likeable as possible. We wanted them to be funny and entertaining. What did we do to earn this ire?
Just to touch on this: I personally don't design characters to be likable. By doing this, you're automatically fighting an uphill battle, as human beings are animals that differ strongly from other members of their ilk, inherently sticking to their opinions and perceptions of things that they witness; trying to appease this many people in the roleplay is folly. However, what you can do is present the characters in such a way that, even if the reader doesn't *like* them per se, they can at least firmly acknowledge their role in the story and their existence in the setting despite their personal views on the character. There have been characters I've come across in roleplays that I absolutely loathed, their personalities completely warped and their demeanor wholly unattractive. Probably the most recent example of this can be found right here in the Multiverse. I think I've bitched enough (and annoyed Skall enough) to make it clear that I have a rather potent rageboner going for about 90 percent of the characters in this roleplay. But in the end, I realized that, in all honesty, those characters were legitimately good characters, their dialogue polished, their back stories detailed and engaging, and their overall behavior in the roleplay realistic to the T. To be frank, the only reason why I haven't ditched this joint already is because it's packed full of competent writers and well-written characters; no sane writer in this world would pass up this opportunity to observe this sheer amount of glorious RP and learn a thing or two in the process. But yeah, now I'm rambling. TL;DR: Write what you want; worry not about the lowly opinions of others. I have to go work on this other character I aim to bring in and re-work my fallen Brotherhood of Steel paladin. Then after that, I guess I'll throw myself into one of these weird 'worlds' or something. I don't know.
