We expected at least a single attack to land.

We didn't expect a wall of Pokemon. Realistically, some moves are expected to hit, no matter how many bodyguards/meat shields surround him. I can agree on some moves missing, since my own character missed about twice, but not every move missing him. (Besides, you've just seen how quickly he recovers from 'confusion.')

I will now suggest your own post was ignored because of this.
