Jacque had barely heard Nao as she asked him what was the matter, just as he'd barely heard her as she recounted her involvement in multiple wars throughout time. The elemental seemed to switch into tunnel vision, ignoring everything, even the massive head that poked out of a nearby door and hissed at him as Amber came into view. Jacque sneered and walked towards Amber, the water in his pack sloshed around more erratically with each step he took, his eyes glowed cerulean as he stopped just two meters away from the phoenix. Jacque tilted his head up and looked down at Amber contemptuously, "So, [i]you're[/i] the one I sensed earlier? Hmph, and to think, here I am getting worked up over a fire elemental, and it turns out to be a mere fledgling fresh from the nest." he said before letting out a wry chuckle.
