Aleck ~ On his way back to the Haven "Hoooommmmeeee..." Aleck slurred. His mind was numbed. He had pillaged some liqueur from an old previously looted store. There had been enough bottles left to get completely wrecked with. He was heading back to the haven after drinking all night, having to abandon his rescue of Emma had not been an easy decision, Daniel seemed capable enough and he had thought about it after Daniel had turned down helping him. Even if he did rescue Emma, which he still believed he could, these raiders were not the first group Aleck had tangoed with before, what would he gain? Emma would definitely want to return with her brother and Aleck could not abandon Gwen. Even with his mind infected with the numbing strength of alcohol he could think clearly, it was an ability he was only half grateful for. He wanted to lose himself but not even getting completely wasted could stop his mind from thinking straight, the only power alcohol held over him was over his emotional state freeing him of his pains and relaxing his muscles. He wouldn't even suffer a throbbing ache from a hangover. An undead approached Aleck who was doing his best to continue drowning himself in his drink, he had in hand a tequila bottle, he'd already gone through a vodka, some captain morgan, and rum as well as a small flask of tequila, this last bottle was a much larger one and he was already down to the last three gulps. This undead shuffled closer, Aleck was suddenly tempted to simply allow the undead to bite him but as the undead reached a distance of just two feet his anger boiled. It was a sensation of rising strength and fury, in one powerful uppercut Aleck lifted the undead off the ground. This creature did not know the dangers of being struck and so it had been defenseless to the blow, it did not know how to protect itself and thus was at the mercy of Aleck's agile and destructive grace. Aleck was a big fan of martial arts, he had self trained and even sparred in gyms, one thing he knew about drinking was that it made you more flexible and because you were numb to the pain, made your blows carry more weight and impact force. Aleck had already delivered the impact force, using his enhanced agility he twisted around and gave the undead a powerful open palm blow that shoved it away and down. He heard ribs breaking whether it was from the impact of the open palm strike or from the deterioration of the bones he did not know nor care. A few more blocks later he was in front of the thrift shop. "Ah...," he sighed. He had already gotten rid of the bottle a couple of blocks back after draining it. The only way in that was easier than shoving and opening doors and defenses was to climb up the side of the building them sidle up to the second story window where he could drop himself in. The window was open. He started climbing. Normally the climb was tiring but the numbness of drink gave him strength to pull himself up using the outward jutting bricks as stepping stones to reach the railing of the window. There were holes that Aleck had made just for the purpose of climbing below the railing. He used these holes now to bring his body up and over the railing and through the window. The balcony was small and was not designed to be stood upon, whatever purpose this redundant balcony served he could not ask its once living owner and had not the care to do so. Once through the window he found himself in the "living room". There was the hall that lead up here and in that hall were four doors, one leading to the restroom, one leading to the kitchen, and two leading to separate rooms. The kitchen was in the back where a chimney allowed cooking smoke and smells to flow out while both rooms were up at the front so that the both had windows that looked out towards the from of the thrift shop. Aleck and Gwen stayed in one room and used the other as a sort of living room. He did not see his sister and believed her to be asleep. Deciding to take rest as well he removed his heavy coat and dropped himself on the large soft couch, a couch he had brought upstairs himself. Sleep took him quickly.
