I think characters physically larger should be able to push their max strength up a little, though past a certain point it's somewhat pointless. 

Size seems to all be relative in Arena anyway, Fury is just man sized and he can power up to lift the average passenger plane, though I suppose because its not an inherent physical trait it has more cost.
