I was "Poe'd" to death in high school. A second alternative would be any of the Child Ballads (if you're familiar with them.) A third possibility? Just write something yourself! Don't worry about how 'good' it is or isn't, just so long as it's heartfelt! I think your drawings show some promise, actually. It just takes practice, is all, like anything else in life. Mind you, I can't draw a straight line for want of a ruler, but your work is far better than a lot of webcomics I've seen out there (and I've seen some pretty bad webcomics!!) The most important thing is that it brings you joy, regardless of what anyone else says.
