Marisa had taken steps to keep herself from betting soaked in the rain. Granted, it was mostly just wrapping herself up in a makeshift poncho, but it kept her out of the soaking wet and made sure she was nice and dry. There was a very specific reason that she was out in such miserable weather, and it wasn't for pleasure. She really wasn't to keen on flying out in the rain, even if there was a fun danmaku battle she'd want to reschedule for this weather! No, her purpose here... was to uncover what this was. It was this weird kind of little box that flashed lights and said 'no signal' when she pressed certain buttons on the front. She knew about some outside world stuff, but not this! It didn't look like the things she'd learned about in some of the manga she got from the outside world, either... The perfectly ordinary witch cruised low over the field. She was heading for the human village, or the first person who looked suspicious and could potentially be linked to the appearance of this device. Whichever came first. All the rain would but a damper on the fun of a danmaku duel, though... So really, she was mostly planning on getting to the human village and bugging people to see if they knew about the thingy. There had to be someone, right? Or maybe Kourin would know, though she on-and-off wasn't really sure if Kourin actually knew what the hell he was talking about. ... Maybe she could drop by Alice's place and steal some books on the way back, too... It's not like the youkai magician would ever expect her to drop by in this weather, right? ---- Remilia stared blankly at the... thing in front of her. What was it? What was this confusing object that sat there, like that... looking like... that. The childish vampire had no idea what it was. She'd certainly never seen the likes of it herself. All she could do was stare at it in confusion. Sakuya didn't have any answers, and neither did Patchouli or anyone else. Just what was this thing she was staring at right now? It had simply appeared on her nightstand, and she had to take it downstairs... she was certainly aware of the technology that lay in the outside world. But this... this was something she did not recognize. And it puzzled her to no end. It was... it was frustrating, really! But at the same time... ... It was something new. Remilia liked new things, even when it was frustrating trying to figure out what they were. The rain outside made the prospect of leaving quite unpleasant, especially for a vampire like her. But an umbrella would provide plenty of protection from it as long as it wasn't windy. So, that was that, she supposed. A few moments later, the small vampire was prepared to leave, equipped with an umbrella.
