Yes. IT takes about 10 years to make a master mage, here's the basic understanding. It takes 1-3 years to advance to another level, which why the Acts are around that long IC and cover a lengthy time span. The reason is this, 1-2 years to learn basics/something new then another year to build up endurance/stamina for what you've learned.
I understand that, I'm just trying to figure out what they could learn in the few months that we just skipped. If it takes one or two years to learn the basics, a few months would hardly get say, a Psychomancer to figure out how to form Illusions. Which I don't have a problem with, I'm just trying to make sure that everyone's spell list is accurate. The way I imagine it, by now most Psychomancers no longer suffer from haywire telepathy and could read someone's passing thoughts, but are still attuned to a Wide Concentration and can't filter through more than three or four minds. They'd also have Basic Wards up. Now that's only for Psychomancers who only take their required Psychomancy classes; those who seek additional education like Ssarak would gain more abilities, such as the Invisibility Illusion, Improved Telepathy so that they could make better sense of what goes through someone's mind, and the ability to switch between Wide and Focused Concentrations. But only that; that's not even all of what a "trained" novice would have.
