Cherry A wand made from Cherry wood is decent at everything except the Dark Arts. Ebony Ebony is one of the most powerful woods. It is favored by dark wizards because of it's strong affinity for dark arts. Elm Elm is good with defensive and destructive spells. It is an excellent dueling wand. Hawthorn A great wand for Defense Against Dark Arts. Hazel Hazel is a neutral wand, neither good at anything or bad at anything Hemlock Hemlock is effective and jinxes and healing, making it good at both harming and healing a person Hornbeam Good for Defensive magic, but not great at potions. Holly Holly is the whitest wood in the world (usually creamy to white in color). A wand with Holly in it often has a hair of a unicorn, because the wood is considered pure. It is excellent at healing work and defense. Mahogany Mahogany is a good, stable wood that's neither bad nor excellent at anything. Maple Maple is a neutral wand that draws strength from its weilder. Redwood is good for defensive and shielding charms, making it useful for DADA. Redwood allows the user to create better and more effective counter-spells and helps to make an enemies spell rebound better Rosewood Rosewood is a light wand, albeit flexible in magic subject. It isn't very good with offensive spells. Rowan Rowan wood is temperamental and semi-flexible but good at transfiguration. It often picks a wizard who hides behind a mask, not wanting people to know the real them. Vine A rare wood, because of how hard it is to get a sizable piece. It reacts to the will of the one utilizing it. It's great for the strong willed - the stronger the will, the more effective the spells.
