Uh... they'd just put him on the list because he's a super. Why a whole country with an entire military would be afraid of one person would be.... questionable. And the US is going to be set into martial law until further notice. Because the military in the US is going to take over to kill all the supernaturals, as they are a security threat. You guys better escape to another country first. 

And I'm assuming this surprise isn't a good one D :
