"Chocobo!" Ascot shouted, appalled at Lucus' abuse of his summon. Quickly dismissing the bird once he realized that it would not survive any more ill-treatment, the boy was now angry...although that anger was replaced by shock as the Wind Mage took Amelia from her guardians and began using her as a hostage/human shield. This...was not taken lightly by Ascot.

"Amelia!" he screamed in shock and fear, fear of what Lucus can do to the poor girl. What should he do? Fighting was out of the question with the Wind Mage having taken a hostage, but, at the same time, the other option was to offer himself in Amelia's place, and Ascot didn't know if that would work, because Lucus seemed to prefer tormenting little people like Elyse and Amelia.

[I]Wait a second, Reflect can be cast on other people as well, right?[/i] Ascot thought. [I]Same for Haste. Wait a second, Fira![/i]

And with that, Ascot cast Fira on Amelia, surrounding her in a ring of flames; thanks to his Keyblade, it didn't harm the little girl, but it would harm Lucus.

"Amelia, escape!" the boy shouted, casting Haste on her. This would be followed up by Reflect, just in case Lucus tried to harm Amelia further.

"Amelia, run to me!" he spoke.
