it was a reflection/backstory basically. then he smelled blood so he went to go investigate. so far he is set apart from everyone, already on the side of the brother with the demons. he has his own little group of demons and that post was supposed to explain why. I was writing a a chance to initiate contact with Rumiko's character who had killed an oni demon. the scent of blood was supposed to be from there. 

 if its not clear i dont mind brushing it up. its not insulting, it criticism, and i don't mind it.
