aaaaand a question...when a land based land...meaning that when I land crosses over and it was part of the land of that planet...does earth itself become bigger to accommodate the newly gained mass and volume? Or does it overlap?

Say for instance the pokemon universe...there was a point where everyone in the entire united states knew the name so I am guessing that their "appearance" strength is strong and would cross over a continent or two...I mean we are talking about continents here...does the surface of earth increase size?
