The word rang over and over in Thomas' head. Monster. The voices seemed to grow louder at each time it echoed. Finally, they started speaking full sentences while the word continued to repeat in the back. "Don't deny it, Thomas. You're a monster." "No!" Thomas shouted in his mind, not wanting to actually shout aloud as a response. "I am not a monster! I will not succumb to your will!" But it was too late. The calming wave Thomas hd sent out had weakened him and his will. He looked around. Everyone started morphing into demons in his eyes. Beasts of myth and legend. "Stoppit stoppit. Stop it! STOP IT!" That last one came out loud rather than in his mind. Thomas looked around. He had broken the vision, but he also had put himself in an awkward position. Thinking fast, he quickly tried to recover. "Stop fighting. All that this will do is make us look like ACTUAL children. Obviously, if any of us weren't chosen, it was for a reason. These two were put in the leadership spot BECAUSE they showed a sense of leadership. Like I said before. We work for the government. They seem to choose right each time, but we can't question it, so why don't we just TRY and get along?"
