Neisha was coming up behind him, and his body suddenly slowed, like moving through water. Damien was furious. The non-humans were merely toying with him, yet the undead creatures insulted his very essence. It was then that something inside him responded and snapped. The spell slowing him suddenly broke, and a faint glow surrounded him and his blade. Too angry to notice, he attacked again where the body of John should be and cut across his chest. Surely shocked, the undead probably wasn't ready when Damien moved with the attempt to sever his head.
