Everything felt better when Sirius did not seem to have noticed Lann just a few distance away from the classroom. Lann returned to look at Emilia again before breaking away after brief eye-contact. It was like as if it was poisonous or forbidden to look at a girl by their eyes. As if darkness would cloud around Lann and swallow him whole and alive. It was fear that he ignorantly chose to believe. "Nice to meet you too, Lann. That's quite the unique name as well." Lann was caught by an incredible surprise from Emilia. To have thought that nobody exactly gave a damn about his name... Apparently it mattered to Emilia. He felt the rising heat of the stove around his cheeks before rolling his eyes away from Emilia. "T-Thanks..." He added to Emilia's compliment. It felt unreal to be complimented by a girl. All it was with the boys he used to study with was understatements or spin offs. Sometimes even bad puns that would demean and make nothing of his name. That's why most of the time he would always can the uniqueness of his name thinking that it was only a tag that labeled specifically what you are called. Not an identity, but a designated label. Emilia repeated after him as he mentioned Sirius. "Sirius?" The look on her face made it seem like she knows what had happened between them. Lann faked a grin over his face to try and cover himself up. He just hoped he didn't left an obvious 'nothing is buried here' sign underneath a hole you covered after hiding your bag of money. "Well, yeah, I've know him ever since Middle School. I know he comes off as kind of intimidating, but he's one of the nicest persons I know and more mature than most of the other guys in class. If you ever need some help or something, he's your guy. Though of course, I'd be happy to do the same." And there's that humble attitude of hers again. Perhaps Lann's first day wasn't going to be a day in the longest circle of hell after all. Emilia has been nothing but a guiding angel. "I think... Heh... I'd just stick around you." It may have come off as creepy, but besides trying to avoid Sirius and suddenly talking about that moment... Following Emilia around wasn't a bad idea after all. "She is kind and cute... That's a plus." Were his initial thoughts. Emilia directed her finger back towards the classroom. "Shall we head back there? Mr. Collins should be coming soon, I can wait with you if you want to?" Lann's head shook in disagreement to Emilia's kind request, this time managing to maintain eye-contact for more than second before looking up to see another girl (Kat) approaching Emilia. It must be her friend or something. Lann's eyes moved over to the other girl as she began to drag Emilia away, saying something about homework or what not until they disappeared into the classroom. Lann giggled at the entire thing before he was introduced to a rather rough and heavy hand on his shoulder again. He turned around to see a man with a set of books and folders around his armpits. He was wearing a buttoned-up shirt with a tie with a short stubble around his face and an untidy hair. "Ah. Mr. Langley. Arriving safely for your first day?" Lann's eyes was quick to recognise the plain white name tag on his shirt that read 'Mr. Collins' which would be his homeroom teacher. "Oh, yes sir." Lann nervously replied back to Mr. Collins as he took Lann to the classroom. "I believe you've met your tour guide Sirius?" Lann's look changed as he heard the name Sirius again. Mr. Collins seemed to not have picked up Lann's sudden change of mood. "Ah, I thought he'd be the right person to do this. Apparently not." Mr. Collins and Lann arrived inside the classroom. Everybody was already seated in a typical seating arrangement, all staring at the teacher as he walked in to the teacher's desk. He placed Lann in the middle of the classroom as they all then turned their eyes towards Lann. Both boys and girls. "For those of you who don't know, we have a new student today. Would you like to introduce yourself to the classroom or would you like me to tell them?" It was an offer that Lann couldn't refuse. He gave Mr. Collins a steady look before he looked away and began to unpack his teacher stuff. Lann's face focused upon mostly the boys of the classroom. The girls around the room was largely ignored until he would see Emilia. As he looked around the classroom he was in, he began to speak in a confident and professional manner. "Good morning boys and girls. My name is Lando Langley, although I'd prefer to be referred to as 'Lann'. I am a transfer student from an all-boys high school not far from here. I am one-third German, Swiss and English. I guess you could say that I enjoy a perfectly made chocolate with a side of hot tea for breakfast." He crossed his fingers inside his own mind that his little joke would make them laugh. "I come from a very loving and supportive family and am glad to be able to be transferred here. So far, the people that I've met are extremely friendly." Lann made a glance at Emilia as he said it. "I hope to be a great addition to your class and certainly be looking forward to studying with you. Thank you."
