Mithias quickly realized he was already starting off at a serious disadvantage. Not only did his sire recognize him at the controls of the flying warmachine, he had heard the code call and was knowledgeable enough and powerful enough to cast his words over the private SOLDIER network. Additionally, his statement about the SOLDIER HQ being willing to sacrifice half a city of humans just to kill him stopped Mithias cold. Frustration and rage coursed through the vampire's veins like supernatural fire. ... no. SOLDIER wouldn't do that... and yet half of him agreed that in Gabriel's case, they probably should. "No." Mithias shook the thought from his mind. Willingly killing innocents was wrong. His finger half-pressed down on his weapons trigger... Miller's voice queued up on the speakers. Mithias released the pressure from his trigger finger. Gabriel had already begun walking off with a smirk. Calling off the code Onyx would have been treason. Mithais replied, "Negative on backup." He did the only thing he could have done to delay a potential blanket-bombing. "Target is moving." He delayed them and floated after Gabriel, able to do nothing but observe.
