Roy stepped out of the carriage after Nolan. The young boy and two of his other friends had found Roy upon getting off the train and piled into the same carriage. Both the train and carriage rides had remained uneventful after Samantha's friend's episode at the beginning. Although, he couldn't complain about where it had led. Two of the girls, Constance and Roxane had seemed interested in a repeat performance of his skills. He'd promised to meet them later this week and paint their owls for them. He heard Erasmus's footsteps as the larger young man stepped out of the carriage behind him. "Well we're back again," he said to his friend. He looked up at the silhouette of the imposing castle. Some had taken to calling the renovated school "New Hogwarts," but of course Mr. Archer was quick to remind his sons that regardless of the structure of the school it would forever retain the same values that Hogwarts was known for. No need to call attention to such unimportant details as appearance. Roy walked with Erasmus, one of his good friends inside Ravenclaw house. Erasmus was a big guy, excellently suited for a position of beater on the Ravenclaw Quidditch team. He was a gifted student as well. Despite all that, he seemed to lack some sort of confidence in social situations. The two made their way into the hall and over to the Ravenclaw table. Scanning down the row for a good place to sit, Roy caught sight of Frankie, another girl in their year. With a bit of a mischeivous grin he pointed her out. "Let's go sit with Frankie." Erasmus let out an audible sigh, but he did not resist. "Oh come now, Erasmus, I thought you'd be excited to dine with the love of your life." "I oughtta throw you off the tower for the torture you put me through," Erasmus muttered as he landed a firm but friendly punch on Roy's back. Roy laughed and led Erasmus to two free seats. "Hey Frankie," he said, plopping down beside the red haired girl. "I hate Romeo and Juliet..." He replied with a laugh, "Well that Romeo is kind of an idiot isn't he? Who falls in love with a girl he just met?" Roy and Frankie had gotten to be friends in their first year. Having been randomly paired by chance to practice spells in their Transfiguration class, the two both showed good talent and so often had some extra time to talk. A few weeks into the term the pairs were shuffled around again, this time pairing each of them with someone less skilled in Transfiguration but they kept in touch. Erasmus, had over the course of their third year, developed quite a crush on Frankie, though few could tell. The Ravenclaw was nervous enough around most girls and social situations that how he acted around her seemed normal. Naturally, Roy often pushed him to say something but he hadn't succeeded yet.
