"Oh god, he's a boyscout." Lucid said in exasperation, tilting his head back lazily as he spoke. "I swear you do this stuff on purpose Mercy-" Matt blinked his eyes a couple times in awe of what the mentor just said. “Wait, he's talking about me...? Seriously?!” Matt had a hard time believing this was really the task force, he imagined it would be a little more professional, or at least strongly urged heros to act professional. Everything around here was just really a big surprise for him... "-But I'd prefer not having a guy that'll get killed quickly. Because, honestly, kid's gonna be an easy target." He continued as though Mercy hadn't interrupted him. "Grayelle city will chew 'im up and spit him out." He looked critically at the other man. "Give 'im to Lightbulb, he'd have fun in Crystalden." Matt's eyes bounced back and forth between the mentor, another hero, and the director bickering. He glanced at the other new heros with his face under his mask feeling flushed from the embarrassment. When he looked back at the mentor speaking again, for the first time Matt noticed his eyes were bright green. "If you want the kid to die, I'll take him. Ten bucks says he gets injured the first job." Matt coughed a little bit at the sound of that blow. He could hear someone in the back hiding a chuckle. “Wow, are you kidding me? Not even like a little faith in me?” Matt sighed and didn't know what else to do besides wait around from an instruction from the director...a part of him kind of didn't want to work with this guy just because of his attitude. He noticed the mentor walking to the Transferal Tiles. His head jerked back to the director as she frustratedly let him leave. “U-Uh, alright!” He sped up and ran towards the guy as fast as he could, but he already vanished. Without hesitation he stepped on the tiles and was taken back to the building entrance. He saw his fellow teammate crouching on the wall, actually waiting for him. "Yeah, right back at you.” He tried his best to return the sarcasm but it ended up coming out almost coldly.  "I'm Lucid. Ever take down a weapons caravan?” Matt was surprised that he hadn't learned his mentor's name sooner, and he felt it suited him but he wasn't exactly sure how yet. He then thought for a moment and frowned. All of the crime he helped take care of wasn't all that exciting as the stuff that happened in the city. “Nope. Any helpful information I should know about it and how we'll carry out the mission?” He questioned Lucid, but felt slightly apprehensive to what was to come. This task force wasn't everything to him, but at the same time he wanted to prove to himself that he could handle this fairly well. “I mean, I am training anyway, but it'd still be such a downer if I ended up getting shot...it'd be even worse if I ended up dying...” He thought while waiting for a reply.
