He seemed intent on going rogue, with her in tow, thus the deep-rooted fears that she had tucked away for so long were now truly being realized. And no one seemed to know where she was. When he finally stopped to partake in the leftovers of an abandoned meal, all she could do was look up at him with a look of intense indignation, anger, and disgust. There was only one other person she hated more than this man. Neil certainly received the message, and he wasn't happy about it. She thought he was contemplating hitting her. "Don't you look at me like that, you little sh--" A rattling sound came from the wooden doors, causing Neil to tighten his hold over her mouth and stalk through the tables. She let out a muffled moan through his palm in the hopes that someone, anyone, would hear, but the door was locked... The ceiling collapsed suddenly, filling Selan's ears with the enormously loud sound of splintering wood and cracking concrete. Selan batted at his hands, hoping to take advantage of the dusty haze filling the room, but he still held on tight. Selan felt the impact in the form of a whooshing sensation just next to her head, rustling the loose strands of hair that had come undone in her struggle. She had been released from Neil's grip, and the person responsible for that was kneeling next to her. There was only one person who could have done what he did. "Don...?" Selan murmured in surprise. --- The Grande Diamond - Pool Room On a regular day, Lisette staring blankly in response to an unusual request wasn't out of character at all, but this time was different; the moment Mordie winked at her, Lisette stopped in her tracks. All day, the only things that mattered to her were the whereabouts of Kapi and Estelle. Her two best friends had simply disappeared and she couldn't remember a thing about why that was. Something about Mordie compelled her to drop those thoughts, and in her mind, Estelle and Mordie's images seemingly blended together for just a moment before the only person in her heart was the white-haired woman... and Lucien was trying to hurt her! Still, something felt off, and Lisette's hands flew to the top of her head, gripping it and wincing. It was a fleeting hesitation that quickly changed to steadfast loyalty towards the charmer, and she stared down her new foes with a determined glare. "Leave it to me...!" Lisette declared, turning on her heel toward Lucien and the bros, to block their path. She braced her legs, deciding that if she were unarmed, the next best thing would be to kick the crud out of anyone who tried to get past her!
