Hm, disjointed as the scene is, I can see how it might be hard to construe. Pony offers up: "I would only trust someone who... listened... to what I wanted... and... who didn't tell me what I should want." Cassie then says: "he informed me to not trust anyone...." Pony's next line is a rather pointed observation that (at the moment) there might not be anyone Cassie can trust in the Colony. Because no one is really listening to Cassie but everyone seems intent on telling her what she should do.
