The situation of having no friends? I wouldn't say that, Logan could've met people any number of ways besides being members of the same House. There's the most obvious route, being Quidditch/Dueling club, or the more subtle route of mayhaps Logan scammed a couple members of the group and made it up to them with companionship and what not. Heck, don't Prefects/Quidditch Players/so on, so forth get their own special party in the Great Hall near the end of the year or something along those lines? [s]Heck, Logan even gets access to that super exclusive bathroom.[/s]

It's all a matter of whether or not ya'll [i]want[/i] to know Logan from previous engagments, or stick to knowing [i]of[/i] him and his reputation from going to the same school, as it was my understanding we don't strictly need to know each other on a personal level to be going on this seemingly long-running traditional voyage.
