(Lethe from Fire Emblem. Lovely character) Name: Esailia Lelander Alias/Nick-name: Esa, Kitten, Keeper Age: Young adult Race: Neko Gender: Female Affinity: Magic Titles/Occupations: World Knight, part time field medic. Keeper of the Wood Equipment: Bladed longbow with small manium crystals embedded in the metal, and twin swords, built to work in a multitude of ways and styles. Both weapons allowing for a very flexible and unpredictable fighting style. Abilities/Skills: Able to use mana to heal wounds hand in hand with field medic gear, although she isn't good at it. Skilled in tracking, hunting, and campfire cooking. efficient at using her weapons, agile, able to enchant her arrows and blade edges with base elements for a wide range of [hider2=uses] Arrows: Water: burst of water on impact, Fire: lights arrow on fire without a source, earth: heavier impact (intended for but not limited to heavy armor), lightning: electrocutes on impact (arcs between up to five conductive targets.) blade uses: Water: swings splash water out with the arc of the swing. Fire: Slashes a lash of fire with the swing, or heats the metal of the blade. Earth: blunts the blade edge and makes the blade heavier. Lightning: turns the metal conductive. These applications are not the only ones. She is quick thinking, and uses these base elements in tandem with her weapons to achieve her goals.[/hider2] Limitations: Due to the use of her magic, she is restricted to what her weapons and fighting style can do. If she cannot reach her target with arrow of blade, she cannot affect them with her magic. Her weapons are a delivery system, replacing the mana it would cost to get the magic to its destination with kinetic or muscle energy of her body. This does not mean she is a tech user. She CAN cast magic without a Manium crystal or her weapons, but she feels it's an inefficient use of her mana pool.(It works in my head, I'm bad at explaining things.) Bio: Esailia started out as a hunter in the forests outside Throx, hunting only what she needed to survive. But as she grew older and became more experienced, she started to become one with the ecosystem. She learned how the system worked, how different creatures and organisms interacted, and assisted in those interactions, always keeping the balance. If one type of animal started overtaking many others, she'd cull them. If a certain plant started failing, she would collect seeds and help disperse them, returning the plant to a healthy level of population. She was not quiet or boastful about her self-appointed job as a Keeper of the Wood, merely describing her experiences with other hunters or people who wanted something in the forest. This brought her into the eye of the Headmasters of Throx. A summons followed by a conversation earned her the title of World Knight. She didn't care much about the title. But it gave her more power to do what she was already doing. Instead of being unable to stop people from raping the forest in their greed, she had the right to prevent them as she saw fit. She didn't kill unless she had no other choice. Outside her forest, tension between the magic users and the tech users grew, and she found herself more and more injuring or warning invaders off with well placed arrows, or a small confrontation to declare her dominance in her forest. Soon, Esailia decided this was not enough to protect her homeland, the place she cherished. So she prepared to leave her forest, putting it in the hands of those she trained in her ways before setting off... And so Esailia, Keeper of the wood, set out into the world, to cull the coming threats to Throx.
Alright, I love that this character is from Throx. Kudos on that there. However I will have to ask in the begining of the rp, that she is in Etheon. I removed Throx from the start of the Roleplay to help everyone start in a close vicinity. People can be from different cultures/civilizations or whatever. I just ask we all start near the same area. Because it helps things run faster or more fluently. I am going to have to ask for you to only have one element. The way your magic effects things does not have to be like a normal spell-flinger. I also give you kuddos for trying to spice up original Magic Users. I have several magic users that only have buffed attributes and other minor spells. Buffed attributes can be applied to a magic character to make up for lack of spells/abilities. I just ask you do not go to overboard. Or consider the amount of power spent and cost of stamina/mana. This is because my character Cyrus, may seem to have a wide range of abilities. However his stamina when rapidly using darkness depletes rather quickly. Due to you wanting her to be a healer. Her having healing abilities via light and being able to cast some light abilities sounds sweet. Though don't allow me to influence what you truely want with your character. Just because someone would like healing abilities, doesn't mean they will have their character's element base be light. All in all the having an element base, gives people a better reason/idea of vulnerabilities and strengths. I have no problem with your CS besides having multiple elements and the Manium Crystal holding slots being in weapons. I would rather have A Magic User hide their Manium Crystals in trinkets that blatently tell people they are not tech devices. Because Magic users do not possess or use Tech Devices, otherwise they would be insanely op. Also, Tech users can make Tech for other Tech users. However this doesn't mean someone can go and steal a bunch of tech devices and be able to use them on the spot. It takes years for Tech Users to get familiar with A Tech Device to where it doesn't cost insane amounts of stamina to use. Though this also means with extended use and time, someone can use A tech Device more efficient then they did before. Having the stamina cost lower faintly over time. (Also life expectancy or lifespans in this world. Are generally shorter then this time. Humans that reach the age of 30's are considered old. A human's prime is considered 18-24. (Also making Cyrus about to be out of his prime.) This low life expectancy is due to the ongoing violence and strife constantly infecting this universe. War is not something people are foreign of. Along with blatant crime or death.
