As Travis backed off, Shan smiled awkwardly, placing both hands on her bony hips. "You guys made it…did…did things work out like they were supposed to for the most part? Did everyone stay together?", Travis asked, almost begging for her to tell him that everyone was fine, and that they were hidden somewhere. Although he had started off hating the idea of the group, they had become something familiar. "Well…", she whispered, before sighing and pulling her hands up in front of her, [b][i]"Things…happened the way they were planned in the beginning. We had a home. We had everything behind walls, like you would hope for. Then…I went looking…"[/b][/i] Travis lowered his head, glancing up at her from under his bangs as she continued. [b][i]"…I found your watch on a dead body…and assumed that you would be nearby, but it was just a fluke. There were men in the city who…"[/b][/i], she dropped her hands, and then glanced to the direction Matt had run, [b][i]"He saved me…and he's kept me alive. He's tired, though. I don't know how much further we can go like this. Everyone else is dead…"[/b][/i] Travis closed his eyes tightly at the news, and flexed his sore and battered hands, "I'm here now…" [b][i]"You are…"[/b][/i], Shan signed, smiling softly, [b][i]"I can't believe you're alive. I stopped looking, and I'm sorry…I'm so sorry…"[/b][/i] Travis shook his head, walking forward to follow Matt's footsteps, "You shouldn't have looked in the first place. I'm alive, ain't I? I'm here. I'm alive…You're alive. Now…I think I owe him my hands…" Smiling, Shan followed behind, to join Matt. He slowed as he noticed Matt studying the area, and came to a stop as to not disturb his 'path'.
