Stark | M | 16 Although he always felt like an outsider, Tyler had no problems socializing within the small Southern town he grew up in. As a matter of fact, one could say he socialized a little too well. Not only did he manage to befriend a majority of people from each social circle within his school - there weren't many in his class of eighty or so - but he also managed to pick up a girl or two from each one as well. Tyler was silver-tongued when he wasn't spitting poison; he was known equally for his casanova-like charm and vindictive verbose when angered. More notably was his stance against physical violence, which was rarely respected in the redneck area he was from. Often called a "pussy" or "pansy" by his peers, he often found it a necessity to prove that he could hurt a person more with words and manipulation than they ever could with their fists.
Tyler flew under-the-radar through most of his academic career, as he slept through most of his classes merely to pass his tests. Most of his nights were spent either playing girls, playing games or tossing his sobriety aside while his days were a meaningless slur of an attempt to make up for his loss of sleep. Because of his reputation and lone wolf mentality, Tyler made few real friends and saw most others as simple tools to acquire what he wanted or enjoy himself the most. In recent months, that was forced to change as he began having tremors and eventually seizures, which put an end to his chaotic lifestyle and erratic sleep schedule. Skills Tyler had prior to his seizures were dulled. Shooting guns (a Southern Rite of Passage), painting, drawing, playing musical instruments and even things like easily unclasping bra straps now were lost to him, and he took it hard. A nigh-narcissist prior to his medical condition, Tyler had his pride dissolved by himself, as most people felt pity for him and still liked him, although few saw him the same. It was through the support of a few close friends of his that he overcame his own self-doubt and began working on revitalizing the skills he lost, as well as reinvigorating his social life through less risque means. Tyler has no academic weakspots, but he no longer excels in the fields he did previously. The loss of a photographic memory forced him to relearn his learning methods and effort is actually required to perform feats such as complex algebraic problems, although he still functions well in classes such as trigonometry, calculus and geometry. History and literature are classes that he breezes through as one is simply understanding political reasoning and memorization while the other is the only skill not truly damaged by his medical history. Science is a field Tyler takes great pleasure in, but is also highly frustrated in; all science classes progress far too slowly to interest Tyler, thus often resulting in poor grades. Similarly, Tyler has a great disdain for tediously proving his capabilities through methods such as homework, thus rarely does it. These facts hold true for all classes. Whereas he has no real academic weakspot in terms of subject or understanding, his work ethic and pace often tend to be his downfalls.
Despite making leaps and bounds with his considerable depression, Tyler is still in a state of disdain for his present self. Added weight from his medications, added weight from his lowered scores and the overall subtraction of his social life keep him down. Although he often attempts to motivate himself, and does so through re-exploring the arts and music as well as attempted exercise, it is his permanent belief that he can never be as good as he once was. As with all adolescents, Tyler searches for his sense of identity which is something he lost. Once so powerful he felt almost no insecurities, now its absence have felt him a shell of a person he once thought was perfect. Putting his old self on a pedestal and seeing how much he falls short from such, every day is a struggle merely to get up and make an attempt at becoming great, even if not his prime. The Avatar Manifestation allows its user to project Denkai into a humanoid shape or even humanoid being and imbue it with qualities such as enhanced strength or speed. These Avatars range in size, abilities, visibility, number and at times are not true Avatars, but instead augmentations to the body or others. A notable quality of Tyler is that his Denkai is neither recognized as Sei or Fu and thus does not interact with either in abnormal ways. Another notable quality is that the Avatar Manifestation is most likely the result of the personal disdain Tyler has for involving himself in violence directly, as Avatars can be - at higher levels of control - created and controlled anywhere in line of sight, and can relay sensory information to their user once created.
