While Director Izanami chats up an earful with the lobby's bartender, Kaz waited patiently on one of the nearby couches. After playing with his phone a bit, Kaz began twiddling his thumbs while contemplating his future here at the organization. He soon got lost in his thoughts; so much so that even the Director's boisterous conversation was drowned out in the rookie agent's mind. "I trust you are Director Izanami?" Strangely enough, this particular voice drew Kaz back to the real world. It was a gentle, elegant voice - one that could lift spirits and soothe souls. He looked up to see a young woman politely bowing to Director Izanami. She was dressed in a black suit similar to those worn by agents. Of course, it was customized to her liking. Her cherry pink hair drapes over her back and shoulders, producing a mystifying sense of grace. Director Izanami takes a brief moment to scan over her; the result of which produced a friendly smile on the Director's face. "You're absolutely correct." Akane responded to the young woman's previous question. "And you must be Saya Kanzaki, daughter of the Kanzaki Heavy Industries' President. But, more importantly, my new transfer agent." the Director added. She made it her business to know the backgrounds of all the agents under her authority. Akane then turned her head to face Kaz in the distant. "Kaz, come on over!" she called. As directed, Kaz got up onto his feet and walked over to the two female agents. "Kaz, I like for you to meet Saya Kanzaki: your partner." Akane introduced. "(S-She's my partner?)" Kaz thought to himself; he was a bit intimidated by Saya's beauty and the powerful aura she seems to exude. "I-I'm Kazuto Tokuro, but you can call me Kaz! It's nice to meet you, Saya!" he nervously blurted his "formal" introduction before bowing respectfully. -Meanwhile- Chisa fired her pistol with expert precision; the single bullet that left her gun ripped its way through three Shades that were charging at her. Returning to a resting position - where her pistol is next to her head facing upward - Chisa scanned the immediate vicinity to find any stragglers that might've been wounded by not eliminated. As usual, Chisa found herself cleaning up after her partner's mess. Contrasting her own delicate, precise procedure, her partner - Takashi - fights with a relatively unabashed, unapologetic and messy flair; sometimes leaving supernatural beings wounded but alive. Leaping across rooftops overhead was none other than Takashi, himself, chasing after a few Shades with ambiguously-shaped wings that took to the skies. Takashi, admittedly, has terrible aim. That, along with his recklessness, would make him seem like an equally-terrible agent at first glance. However, he makes up for that with his mastery of his Soul Weapon and his capacity to stay in the temporary death state for an extensive period of time. Taking aim at the flying Shades, Takashi fired relentlessly. Most of his shots were clear misses but he was fortunate enough to tear some holes through their wings and affected their flight control. "Bullseye!" he proudly cheered with a lit cigarette in his mouth. Suddenly, a few bullets from an alleyway below - in between two buildings - came flying through the heads of each one of those Shades Takashi was chasing after. "Bullseye." Chisa's voice said through Takashi's wireless earpiece. "Showoff." Takashi responded with a cocky smirk. Down below, the Shades who are now fully aware of the agent's presence in their territory started showing signs of aggression. Opening their huge, extended mouths, they let out in unison a haunting wail that reverberated throughout the district. Hearing that, Takashi's smirk became a full-blown grin. "Hear that, Chisa? They're getting all riled up." Takashi stated with a hint of glee. "It sounds like you are too." Chisa replied through his earpiece. Suddenly, some of the Shades within the district began to merge with one another, creating massive Shades protruding with tendrils. Using their tendrils, they smash the ground wildly in an attempt to crush the agents below. These are a unique variant of Shades known simply as "Gargants". Along with their whipping tendrils, they can also fire off balls of black-colored energy from virtually any part of their massive bodies. While they're still weaker than Diabolas, Gargants are much more difficult to eliminate. The key is to completely destroy their oversized heads; a single shot just won't cut it in this situation.
