So basically I'm suggesting a old fantasy setting role play where you make a character who will have a job like a bartender/innkeeper/guard/merc/etc. This character of yours will be attempting to live a normal life in a city that probably won't let that happen. By 'city' I mean me going dungeon master all over their face. Hehe. Imagine a skyrim/AC1/D&D setting for the backdrop.
