Ceilia walked slowly in the stark white hospital. The smell was starting to get to her but... She smiled, the memory of the eyes of those she had seen today. Kids loved visitors, that she'd figured out quickly. She watched as nurse's walked down the hallway past her, clipboards in hand. They walked with purpose, well... some of them. She looked down at the ground as she walked, her thoughts turning slowly. She wasn't allowed to heal anyone, but what Father didn't know wouldn't hurt him. It wasn't like she did very much anyway. Move a few molecules here, a little angel dust there. She chuckled at her own joke. Her head shot up as she heard the call, a call for a doctor. Something was up. She watched with careful eyes as people ran past her, getting prepared to go into surgery. She watched down the hall as one of the children she'd talked to was wheeled in. Her eyes narrowed slowly. Father... She swallowed harshly and closed her eyes, turning away from the situation. There was nothing she could do. She needed to get out of here. She'd never gotten along with Death Angels. She had to be grateful that she'd hadn't been given the job. Compared to that, she'd much rather lead the clan. It didn't take her very long to get outside. She knew the layout of hospitals pretty well and they were all mostly the same. Plus, the signs helped. She looked up as the sun fell and the stars began to show and a smile grew on her face. She couldn't be depressed for very long, the little boy wouldn't like that, would he? Plus, he was in a better place, right? She, though being an Angel, had never really even been to Heaven before. Well, she had but she doesn't remember it. She jumped when she felt the buzz of her phone from her back pocket. She let out a small sigh and pulled it out, looking at the caller I.D. Olivia... Ceilia let out a heavy sigh and answered the call. "What is it, Liv?" She said. "You have to get over here." Liv responded. Ceilia could hear the voices of other girls in the background, probably some of Liz's groupies. Liv was Ceilia's best friend, God knows why. She was much more popular than Ceilia which often makes her wonder Liv even hung out with her. Ceilia couldn't help but smile as she sighed and responded, "Alright. Where are you?" "My house, be here in like, ten minutes. Bye!" She chirped and then dial tone. Ceilia let out another long sigh, giving up. She did love Liv, she was just... tiring. Ceilia walked out to her car and got in. Before she left, she looked up in the mirror at herself. Tired green eyes stared back at her. I've seen too much... She pulled a stray strand of brown hair out of her face and tucked in neatly behind her ear. Satisfied, she turned the car on and made her way to Liv's house. She wasn't really even surprised when she arrived. Liv was standing outside in one of the shortest skirts she owned, her girl friends all standing near her car. Ceilia turned her car off and took in a deep breath. This was going to be interesting. She got out of the car and smiled at her friend. Liz ran over best she could in the ridiculously tall high heels she was wearing. Standing at 5'8", she didn't even need them. She dwarfed Ceilia who stood at a measly 5'5. When she'd finally made her way over to Ceilia, the blonde's arms wrapped themselves around her neck. "I missed you!" She yelled, right next to Ceilia's ear. "I... saw you yesterday..." Ceilia mumbled, her ears already throbbing. "What's so important?" She asked. "Ricky's throwing a party and I got invited. So, of course, I'm bringing you. You can come can't you?" Liv explained after pulling away. There was a large mischievous grin on her face. Well, no. Ricky's a vampire. I'm not allowed... Her thoughts returned to the boy in the hospital and her anger began rising. "Yes. I can go." Ceilia answered with a determination she hadn't meant to come out. "Good! Let's go get you dressed!" She replied, oblivious to Ceilia's tone of voice. "Girls, get in the car. Shouldn't take long." She told her girls and they nodded in compliance. Ceilia raised a brow but let out a small giggle as she was led into Liv's house. Her mom was sitting at the dinner table, a newspaper in her face. Ceilia gave her a small smile. "Hey Ms. Carter!" She yelled out as Liv pulled her up the stairs and up to her room. Ceilia waited patiently as Liv sifted through her closet of clothes and pulled something out. Without another word she began to dress Ceilia. Ceilia lifted a brow but didn't say much. When she was done, Liv smiled at her. "Alright. Turn around. You look great!" She said and spun Ceilia. As she faced the mirror, her eyes grew wide. She was wearing a beautiful black dress. It actually fit her body pretty well... She turned around to face Liz. "I can't wear this." She said, her voice small. "Sure you can! Knock 'em dead, girl. And if you don't, I'll do that for you." Liv responded with a chuckled and then bent down to put on the matching shoes, black high heels. This is certainly going to be different... Liv turned around and pulled something out of her drawer. When she returned she pulled something shiny over Ceilia's head. She heard a clasp and turned around. "It's my best. Saved it just for you." Liv told her, a softness in her voice. Ceilia turned around and put her arms around Liv's neck. "You're too much but... I love you." Ceilia said, her voice cracking. "Think nothing of it. Come on, let's get some make up on you." She responded, a soft smile on her face. When they were finally done and out the door, the girls at the car kept staring at Ceilia. She smiled awkwardly at them and got in the car, taking the passenger side next to Liv. She looked in the mirror on the car. Her eyes were painted with shades of black and gold, her lips a pretty shade of red. It felt weird... She didn't feel like herself. She sighed, deciding to make the most of it. She smiled over at Liv as she started the car and they made their way to Ricky's house. Maybe other angels would be there and she wouldn't feel like such a black sheep. I mean, more than just vampires show up to a vampire's party, right?
