The kobold escape took decidedly longer than I anticipated. I keep forgetting that my short stories tend to grow out of control. I was supposed to write a ten page short story in college. Culling that down was an exercise in murder. Chase, battle scenes and dialogue, I've noticed have a tendency to fill up pages very, very quickly.
